Have You Heard Of Google’s Keen Social Network?

There is a new kid in town, Google’s Keen Social Network. OK, we started with YouTube Shorts, which is a TikTok competitor, well Google has come up with another social media platform called Keen. Some people think Keen is aimed at giving competition to Pinterest. In my opinion, Keen is not the same as Pinterest because Pinterest is a visual search engine with image specifications, where you save images promoting products, blog posts, videos, etc.

With Google’s Keen social network, it seems like a place to save ideas.  I must admit it is quite similar to Pinterest, not the same, but similar. When you create a Keen, you are able to save to it, and you can also invite other people to save their ideas. So in a way, a Keen is like Pinterest’s board, and then when you invite contributors, it makes it more like a group board.

Also, people can follow your Keen if they share the same ideas as you do. The feed is different from Pinterest because you are not just saving images, videos,  you are also saving links, and notes. when you save a link, Keen is able to pull your featured image, if you have done your SEO correctly.

How Does  Google’s Keen Social Network Benefit Content Creators?

Well, I guess just like any other social network, you get an opportunity to share your content by creating Keens that contain links, images, and notes from your, lets say blog posts. Keen is still in its early stages, so only time will tell. Remember when Google used to have Google Plus, and then Google Plus was shut down? I hope that won’t be the case with Keen.

I was able to create a Keen with an image and a link to one of my websites, but when I clicked my Keens, I didn’t see the Keen I just created. It turns out that when you create a Keen it’s automatically marked as private and you have to go to edit and then make it public.

To create a Keen you just need to sign in with your Google account, you don’t need to create a  separate Keen account, which makes things easy.

Then you just click on the plus sign and start creating your Keen. Give it a title and description, then you can start adding images (Germs) and links, then you can proceed to organize your images, links, and web searches. Once all that is done, then you can make it public, and invite collaborators to add to your Keen if you like.

Reasons Why You Need To Join Keen As A Content Creator

As I said, Keen is still in its developing stages but, I think it could be the next big thing, and this is the right time to jump into it and secure your spot as a content creator.  since Keen is a Google product, you will be rewarded handsomely by Google when you use it. So far the Keen app is available for android, but I am sure it will soon be available for Apple users.

I think there is still a lot to be done and I am sure they are working to perfect the app, and I am looking forward to taking full advantage of Keen. as far as Keen being Google’s version of Pinterest, we shall see because as it is now they are not particular when it comes to image size or colors.

Pinterest as we know its very image and color-oriented with pins that contain bright and warm colors performing well when Pins that don’t follow Pinterest size requirements performing poorly.

When I created my Keen account, I didn’t know what to do or how to proceed, this step-by-step tutorial walked me through the whole process including how to use Keen for research. Click Here To Check It Out
