And as many past new year’s resolutions, weight loss is the number one new year resolution. Did you know that research shows that by the 15th of January 80% of the new year resolutions would have been abandoned? Number 2 in new year resolutions is income increment. This brings me to the first reason why you will not make money online.

Number 1 Reason Why You Will Not Make Money Online Is Setting Unrealistic Goals

The reason why people set unrealistic goals at the beginning of the year, is that they feel there is so much time to accomplish these goals, a whole year looks like a very long time. So they say by this time next year I would have lost this much weight, or I would have made this much money. The #newyearnewme is trending on all social media platforms right now.

But the truth of the matter is, there won’t be much time added to your day just because it’s a new year. If you are working 9 to 5, it’s still gonna be the same. Your free time will still be the same, so you will have to divide the free time you have between doing what you have been doing the previous year and the new resolutions that you have made.

Reason #2, Spending Time On Research Without Taking Action

Not taking action. OK, I have to admit I do fall into the research rabbit hole too sometimes. What do I mean by that? have you ever been on YouTube trying to find out how to do something? I know I have, as a matter of fact just a couple of days ago I was on YouTube looking for a video to show me how to crochet a baby hat.

A friend of mine just had a baby and I wanted to make something special, something that I have created with my own hands. So I watched the first video, saved it, then I saw the next video was also interesting, so I watched that too, and before I knew it, I had fallen into the YouTube Rabbit hole.

I spent the whole afternoon watching crochet videos and some were not even baby hats. So a task that was supposed to take me about two hours, took me the whole afternoon and I am ashamed to say I did not even crochet the baby hat that day. My point is, many people have made a resolution to make money online this year but they will not make any money online because they are not going to take action.

By Not Taking Action, You Are Just Wasting Your Time, And You Are Not Going To Make Any Money Online.

You can watch thousands of videos and read all the make money online articles, but if you don’t take any action, and implement what you have learned, then there is no point. Take this blog, for example, I have enough material here to help you start making money online. But, if you just read and then get back to Google and look for another article and yet another, then you will not make any money online. you will just consume content and then you will keep forgetting what you read and keep doing the same thing. Reading, forgetting, reading again, and so on and so forth.

Reason #3 Shiny Object Syndrome

I actually have an article covering this subject, because even the well-established affiliate marketers do fall into the Shiny object syndrome. But what is this syndrome? actually this is not something that only affects people in the make money online world. This is a syndrome that affects everybody.

For example, you could be looking for a program to help you lose weight fast, and just as you think you have found one, as soon as you sign up, you find another one that seems better than the first one and so you abandon the first one and sign up to the new one. And that means you are not giving any program a chance to work.

In affiliate marketing and make money online, this kind of behavior can be very addictive because there are so many things out there and so many methods advertised every single day, so it’s very easy to just fall into the trap of trying new things and not getting anywhere.

You Have To Focus, And Follow What Is Working For You

The best thing to do is find a business module, or a program and just stick with it and give it time to work. or in the case of online business, when you start it, you have to work at it and give it time. I don’t listen to your friend who has found an exciting online business opportunity because that will only mean that you will be off chasing the new shiny thing.

And if that one doesn’t work in a month, then you will be off again chasing yet another new shiny business opportunity. To be honest with you, running an online business has lots of temptation especially for those who are just starting out. you will be contacted with all kinds of exciting opportunities.

You will be introduced to all kinds of services that promise to blow up your traffic, flood you with sales, and make you a millionaire in a matter of months. But you have to remember one thing, just the same way you are working on your business, it’s the same way those people are working on theirs, so they are trying to sell you their product and they are just giving you a sale speech.

The best thing you can do for your business is to commit yourself to just working on it, create your content if you are in the affiliate marketing find products to review and just keep working, and in time it will pay off.

Reason #4 Doubting Yourself

You have to believe in yourself. OK, ask yourself this question, those big entrepreneurs who have succeeded online, what is it that they possess that you don’t possess? Is it superpowers? Or is it special skills? the beauty of being in the make money online world is that the same way the big guys have learned, the methods to make money online, it’s the same way you are going to learn.

There are no special powers that you have to possess in order for you to make money online. You just need a laptop and internet connection. Believe in yourself, proclaim it, say as I did, if they can do it, so can I. And there is a ton of free information that you can take advantage of.

And Reason #5 All Make Money Online Training Programs Are Scams

OK, I have to be honest, when I was trying to learn how to start a website and learn how to make money online, I almost gave up because I fell into those programs where you are promised milk and honey and then once you sign up, you find out it’s just a money-hungry place where you just keep paying more and then, in the end, you will just have to give up when you can’t keep up with the up sales.

If you read my about me page, and I even added a video just recently because I want you to know who I am and how I came about this make money online business. Anyway, when you read that page and watch the video, you will see the kinds of things I went through at the beginning of my journey.

So I understand, when people are a bit hesitant when it comes to affiliate training programs.
