These days jobs are not easy to come by and in Kenya, we have so many well-educated people with no jobs, yet there are so many opportunities online.
Now more than ever we need to get online and take advantage of online opportunities. How to earn money online in Kenya, the truth is there are more job opportunities online now more than ever before. This is because many companies are moving their operations online. Remote work has become the new norm.
So let’s Take A Look At How To Earn Money Online In Kenya
There are so many ways that you can earn money online even if you are from Kenya. All you have to do is get online and start researching, depending on what you are happy doing online. For me, I am a content creator so I am happy creating content.
So if you are like me and like creating content, then there are many ways you can monetize your content and make money. Number one in my opinion is affiliate marketing. I mean this is the easiest way to monetize your content and make money the reason why I love affiliate marketing, is that it’s beginner-friendly, it’s easy to start, and it carries no risk whatsoever.
How To Earn Money Online In Kenya With Affiliate Marketing
One of the things I found is that many affiliate programs don’t accept publishes from Kenya in their programs. And that is really sad because we got lots of content creators who are capable of promoting products and bringing in lots of sales. That being said, I have done lots of research and found a list of very good affiliate programs with high commission rates that accept Kenyans.
But before we get into that what is affiliate marketing? the best way to describe affiliate marketing is by telling you that affiliate marketing is selling other people’s products for a commission. Basically, you find a product or service you would like to promote, it could be a product or service that you have used yourself or a product that you have thoroughly researched.
Once you find the product, you join its affiliate program, and then you will get a special link that will contain your affiliate ID, then you can promote your link. For example on your website, YouTube channel, or even on TikTok. Every time a customer clicks your link and buys the product, you get a commission.
Can I Learn Affiliate Marketing In Kiswahili?
Well, although most affiliate courses are in English, I have actually created a course in Kiswahili, and it’s on YouTube. I came up with the idea of explaining what affiliate marketing is in Kiswahili after realizing most Kenyans are not sure what the difference is between affiliate marketing and multi-level marketing or pyramid schemes.
So every time I mentioned affiliate marketing especially on TikTok, I had comments saying things like yeah I join your team so you can take a percentage of my commission. Or others who said no thank you, I am not interested in pyramid schemes.
Because of these kinds of comments, I decided to launch a free course on my YouTube channel where I have created 5 videos that explain in detail what affiliate marketing is, how to start an affiliate marketing website, and how to join affiliate programs, all is explained in Kiswahili.
What Are The Best Affiliate Programs For Kenyans?
I must start with the main program I promote on this website, and if you have been reading my articles, then you know what program I am talking about. Wealthy Affiliate Is the program, I love the fact that they accept people from many countries including African countries.
They also give you a chance to earn money by promoting their services even if you don’t sign up as a paying member. Some affiliate training programs require that you first buy their premium membership before you get access to affiliate links.
But with Wealthy Affiliate you just create a free account with just your email address, no credit card required, and you get access to your affiliate links and you can start promoting the program as soon as you sign up. Take a look at the commission rates on the image below.
More Affiliate Programs For Kenyans
Other affiliate programs include ClickBank, I know there are many popular affiliate programs in Kenya like Jumuia, HostFiti and others but I really want our Kenyan affiliates to target international customers by joining programs that will send international customers to the products, so for that reason, I want to include affiliate programs like BlueHost which pays up to $100 per sale Fiverr affiliates.
Also, there are affiliate networks that accept Kenyans, but what is the difference between affiliate programs and affiliate networks? Affiliate networks are companies hired by different companies to run their affiliate programs, for example, if you want to promote Grammarly(which I think you should) their affiliate program is run by an affiliate network called ShareAsale. This particular network runs thousands of affiliate programs.
I have good news for you, ShareASale accepts Kenyans. And once you get in you might not even need to join any other network because they have everything no matter what niche you want to get into. Fashion, beauty, and skincare. Digital products, health, and fitness, you name it.
